course - UX Research
A group hiking coordination app, taken from user interviews to a tested 40-screen hi-fi prototype.
In a 3-person team, we ran end-to-end UX research and hi-fi prototyping for planning group hikes. Interviews and a competitive analysis showed no product owns the full flow from discovery to a committed trip, which shaped the concept. We built a 40-screen Figma prototype and turned usability-study findings directly into redesigns.
Ran 4 user interviews that surfaced 10 categorized pain points around group coordination, transportation, and tool fragmentation.
Compared Meetup, AllTrails, and Partiful across 6 criteria and found no product owns the flow from discovery to committed trip.
Designed and built a 40-screen hi-fi Figma prototype (8 desktop, 32 mobile) covering sign-up, discovery, booking, carpool and gear management, and trust settings.
Moderated a usability study across hosting and joining scenarios, then decoupled the request-approval-payment flow and added driver-versus-rider pricing.
